100 Faces in 100 Days: Sam

I've got to run ... to clean up and head to the Art League for receiving. My palette needs cleaning as do my brushes ... as do I before tomorrow's session.

Here's my son Sam. Face #3. Sam's avoided being painted for about 8 years. I don't know how he did it. But, he couldn't escape this time.

Read more about my project in earlier posts.

I am enjoying the progress. Thanks for keeping your blog updated. This is fun watching the project develop.

Just think what happens if everyone who sits for me ... and all their friends and family start watching the project develop...

Wouldn't that be cool?

I enjoyed your comments via email about the differences between the three days' work. I believe that today's looked sharper because the background was more solid. I used a palette knife there with plenty of pre-mixed paint to eliminate some of the "noise."

Plus, today's could have been sharper because I had less coffee. (Less camera shake.)

Thanks, Jerry. He's a pretty stupendous young man. Not as good as sitting as he is most other things, though!
