Quick post ... because I'm working still on the portrait of Lou and Carolyn Brown in anticipation for just a few more hours "live" tomorrow before they head home. The rest of the finishing will be done with photo references.

Lots of progress today.

"Passing the Mighty Midget" was finished last night ...  and started a week and a half ago ... plein air in Leesburg, VA. There are some good stories to go with it, too. Just not now.

August, Visiting Resident Studio Artist, Torpedo Factory, 105 N. Union St., Alexandria, VA, Studio #333. See regular hours/days, reception, demo dates on the events page on my web site. Reception: Thursday, August 9, 6-9pm (2nd Thursday Art Night receptions throughout the Torpedo Factory). Portrait painting demos: Sunday, August 12 and August 19, 1 to 5pm with a great model. Open: Thursdays, 2-9pm; Saturdays & Sundays, noon to 6pm; Mondays, 10am-5pm.
