Beyond the market is the canal. Above are strings that hold bananas. We saw this everywhere. Bananas on high.
"Mercato" took many "takes" and is a combination of several sources and my memory of being there.

Central Park (at the intersection of Old Dominion Drive and Dolley
Madison Boulevard, McLean, VA, 10am to 5pm. Free and open to the
public.
October 16-18: Great Falls 12th Annual Studio Tour, (I'll be at the Artists' Atelier, 756 Walker Road, Great Falls, VA 22066). Self-guided tour of the home or group studios of 44
Great Falls artists. Hours: Friday and Sunday, Noon to 5pm. Saturday,
10am to 5pm. I'll be giving a painting demo from Noon to 1pm each day of
the tour.
