Gondola, Gondola ... "Riding High" from Telluride

After talking with lots of folks visiting me yesterday while painting, it seems that might trip here would not be complete without at least one view of the gondolas passing overhead. Young ones gave me high marks on works in progress but still asked, "Are you painting the gondola?"

Up I rode today and then found a spot to paint just past the station ... sitting on rocks for the best view. It sprinkled through about half the session. Randy borrowed an umbrella from the inn to protect my palette and painting, then made ponchos out of trash bags for the both of us. Quite a sight.

There were cheers from up above from gondola riders who told me that I was "very cool" and my painting was "AWESOME." Hope they are right.

Got to go to try to finish the painting started yesterday.
