"La Chien de Grange" -- the Dog of Giverny Chosen as a Finalist

Today, I received news -- of the good variety -- that "La Chien de Grange," my painting of the regal barnyard guard dog from Giverny, France was chosen as one of 75 finalists in the Richeson75 Online Bird, Animals and Wildlife Art Competition. Richeson is a manufacturer/distributor of art supplies. The company also runs bi-monthly competitions. Most involve gallery shows but the Bird, Animals and Wildlife Exhibition is only online. After December 6, the exhibit will be viewable on the web -- and if it is like years past, it will be a great showing of some of the best works in the genre of animal art.  I'll let you know when it goes live.

"La Chien de Grange" is currently hanging in the gallery at the Artists' Atelier, the studio I share with 14 other artists at 1144 Walker Road, Suite G, Great Falls, VA. The painting is there -- ready for the crowds that hopefully include you -- visiting this coming weekend for the 10th Anniversary Great Falls Annual Art Studio Tour that encompasses 50+ artists in 33 venues, Saturday and Sunday, October 19 & 20, 10am to 5pm both days.
