"Tranquility" wins kudos at Treasury of Art |
This is what Peter Ulrich had to say about "Tranquility":
"This beautiful painting is a contrast of a colorful subject against subdued and neutral areas. The two pieces of background and foreground are triangles and the figure herself is a triangle superimposed on them. So, in addition to being a rich color study, it also is an efficient use of the space with this interlocking triangular geometry. It's always important in figurative work to capture the mood of the subject. The artist has created a tangible representation of the intangible mood of tranquility. A marvelous work."

Congratulations on the award. Loved hearing what the juror had to say. This is such good information for a struggling artist like me.
