Judge Tim Newton's credentials include 25 years of art collecting; being the founder and curator of American Masters annual exhibition at the Salmagundi Club; and he is Chairman of the Board at the Salmagundi Club.
For the Quick Draw, each entrant had from 10am to noon to go from a blank canvas (or paper) to a signed piece ready for framing and display. Meanwhile, LOTS of people wander all over the town to see works in progress, check out how we're doing. I was set up seated at the back of my van. Kudos for smart thinking to stay in the shade, keeping relatively comfortable. (It was still plenty warm out there.)
I did see the top award winners' work from Plein Air Easton's juried competition. Happy to see Sara Linda Poly take home the Grand Prize.
