"First Friday Flowers" and Happy 4th of July!

I put the arrangement from our First Friday Art Walk to good use during open hours on Saturday ... painting and painting and painting. Pretty much fell on the couch and that was it that night. My "White Swans" ballerina painting is in progress on the easel behind the flowers at the Atelier. The photo is definitely not doing this one justice. I'll try again tomorrow.

Yesterday was delivery day for a commissioned portrait "Sisters" (Madeline and Charlotte). It has already met with enthusiastic approval but needed final "processing" -- framing, varnishing, photographing to leave the nest.

May through December:  First Friday Art Walk, 6-9pm, Artists' Atelier, 756 Walker Road, Great Falls, VA. The Atelier is also open on Wednesdays, noon to 4pm and Saturdays, 10am to 2pm (or whenever an artist is in there working.)
