Paint Great Falls 2016 Results

More photos from the exhibit, reception plus my Saturday demo to come in another post. The turnout was fantastic and guests were stunned (so was I!) at the quality of all the submissions. My name might have been taken in vain while artists I'd encouraged to participate were sweating it out in high temps but they managed to do great work anyway.

I encourage you to come see for yourself. All of the pieces are for sale and they capture the town of Great Falls beautifully. Best time to come would be on Saturdays, noon to 2pm through September or on Wednesday, September 14, noon to 4pm.  Classes start soon in the gallery space at 756 Walker Road, Great Falls, VA.

It was an EXTREMELY tough choice to select the winning pieces but I knew ... and explained ... what drew me to each painting chosen for an award.

Still Life Plus -- Tuesdays, 10:30am to 1:30pm -- starts September 20 
Painting the Plein Air Landscape -- Thursdays, 9:30am to 2:00pm, starts September 22. Classes are held in various locations throughout Northern Virginia
